DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring, & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Wagner" hanging calendar clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement and a B. B. Lewis patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition, retaining its polished original finish. All finials are intact. The original paper time dial is in very good condition and shows wear consistent with the age of the clock. The hands are original. The pointer on the day indicator hand is missing. The calendar dial is original and in excellent condition, as are the calendar hands. The clock originally had a wire gong strike but that has been converted to a bell strike, but the original iron mounting bracket and brass cover are there so it could easily be converted back.
